Das Konzept der nackten Ionen am Beispiel der Reaktion von Pseudohalogenidionen mit Schwefeldioxid

Abstract

Das Konzept der 'nackten' Ionen wird am Beispiel der Reaktion von Pseudohalogenidsalzen mit SO2 diskutiert. Dabei werden die Verbindungen (CH3)4N+SO2CN-, (CH3)4N+OCN- · SO2, (CH3)4N+SCN- · SO2, (CH3)4N+SO2N3- und (CH3)4N+Br- · Br2 · 2 SO2 dargestellt und anhand ihrer Schwingungs- und NMR-Spektren charakterisiert. Die Zersetzung des (CH3)4N+SO2CN- wird untersucht und die Produkte (CH3)4N+HSO4- · SO2 und ((CH3)4N+)2S2O72- · 2 SO2 durch Schwingungsspektren und Röntgenstrukturanalysen nachgewiesen. Ab initio Berechnungen (RHF/6-31+G*) der Ionen SO2CN-, SO2NC-, SO2OCN-, SO2NCO-, SO2SCN-, SO2NCS- und SO2N3- werden mit den gemessenen Spektren und den Röntgenstrukturanalysen von (CH3)4N+SCN- · SO2 und (CH3)4N+SO2N3- verglichen. Außerdem werden Darstellungs-versuche für (CH3)4N+H- beschrieben und die Schwingungsspektren der Ionen (CH3)4X+ (X = N, P, As, Sb) diskutiert und mit ab initio Berechnungen verglichen.

The concept of 'naked' ions is discussed on the basis of the reactions of pseudohalogenide salts with SO2. The compounds (CH3)4N+SO2CN-, (CH3)4N+OCN- · SO2, (CH3)4N+SCN- · SO2, (CH3)4N+SO2N3- and (CH3)4N+Br- · Br2 · 2 SO2 are prepared and characterized by vibrational and NMR spectra. The decomposition of (CH3)4N+SO2CN- is examined and the products (CH3)4N+HSO4- · SO2 and ((CH3)4N+)2S2O72- · 2 SO2 are characterized by vibrational spectra and x-ray crystal structures. Ab initio calculations (RHF/6-31+G*) of the ions SO2CN-, SO2NC-, SO2OCN-, SO2NCO-, SO2SCN-, SO2NCS- and SO2N3- were compared with the measured spectra and the x-ray crystal structures of (CH3)4N+SCN- · SO2 and (CH3)4N+SO2N3-. Furthermore attempts on the preparation of (CH3)4N+H- are described and the vibrational spectra of the ions (CH3)4X+ (X = N, P, As, Sb) are discussed and compared with ab initio calculations.
