ICT Nutzung an der Schnittstelle Familie und Schule – Ein systematisches Review zur Situation von Kindern mit Special Educational Needs

Abstract

Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (Information and Communication Technology, ICT) eröffnen für Kinder und Jugendliche mit Special Educational Needs (SEN) neue Möglichkeiten zur Kommunikation, Partizipation und zum Lernen. Die ICT-Nutzung dieser Kinder findet zuhause und in der Schule statt, genau diese Schnittstelle von Familie und Schule ist äußerst relevant für die Identifikation von Gelingensbedingungen förderlicher ICT-Nutzung. Ziel dieses systematischen Reviews ist es, den internationalen Forschungsstand zur ICT-Nutzung von Kindern mit SEN an der Schnittstelle Familie und Schule abzubilden. Die Datenbankrecherche führte zu 28 Studien. Zentrale Ergebnisse sind die Nutzung derselben Geräte in der Schule und zuhause und der kontinuierliche soziale und technische Support der Eltern und ihrer Kinder mit SEN durch professionelle Fachkräfte (Pädagog*innen und Therapeut*innen, Personal für behinderungsspezifische Unterstützung, Tutor*innen, Expert*innen für Assistive Technologien). Ebenfalls wichtig ist die positive Einstellung der Eltern zur ICT-Nutzung ihrer Kinder und die Kommunikation und der Austausch innerhalb der Familie. Auch der Austausch mit der Schule und den Fachkräften ist wichtig. Mainstream-Mobiltechnologien (Smartphones und Tablets) haben aufgrund der hohen Akzeptanz großes Potenzial für eine assistive Verwendungen und fördern die Reduktion von Stigmatisierung von Kindern mit SEN.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) open new opportunities for communication, participation and learning for children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The aim of this systematic review is to map the international state of research on ICT-use of children with SEN at the family-school interface. The database search led to 28 studies. Key findings are the use of the same devices at school and at home and the continuous social and technical support of parents and their children with SEN by professional staff (educators and therapists, disability support staff, tutors, assistive technology experts). The positive attitude of parents towards their children's ICT-use and communication and exchange within the family are important. Communication with the school and professional staff is also capital. Mainstream mobile technologies (smartphones and tablets) have great potential for assistive use due to their high level of acceptance and possibilities to promote the reduction of stigmatisation of children with SEN.
