dc.description.abstract | The paper provides a survey of problems and debates about time and temporal directedness in theories of modern physics on an almost introductory level. We start from general notions of the metaphysics of time and then move on to special and general relativity theory, thermodynamics and quantum mechanics. The paper as well as its bibliography should be useful as an entry to further studies for anybody interested in issues of time in the philosophy of physics. | en |
