As a part of "Green Chemistry", the development of new efficient catalytic processes for industrial applications has become the focus of science. For this reason different catalyts were immobilized onto the hydrophobic block of amphiphilic copolymers. These amphiphils were synthezised via RAFT polymerisation or cationic ring-opening polymerisation and form above the critical micelle concentration micelles. By functionalization of the hydrophobic core with catalyts, these aggregates can be used as nanoreactors. The following catalysts were immobilized: L-Prolin for asymmetric aldol reactions, a palladium NHC complex for C-C cross coupling reactions and OsO4 which can be used for dihydroxylation reactions. All catalyst systems showed good activity and the recycling of the catalyst was also possible. Furthermore core and shell cross-linked nanoparticles were synthesized and evaluated for their catalytic activity. It was found that for the core cross-linked nanoparticles the catalytic activity was not influenced, while with shell cross-linked nanoparticles a decreasing activity was observed. Moreover the L-Proline functionalized and Pd-NHC functionalized micelles were explored in a tandem reaction.de
