Title: High-power-charging: Integrationsstrategien für Niederspannungsnetze
High Power Charging can make a significant contribution to the provision of efficient public charging infrastructure. Currently, High Power Charging is mainly found on transport axes - connected to the medium voltage level. In the low-voltage grid, however, the operation of High Power Charging is challenging due to low grid capacities. The aim of this work is there-fore to develop a strategy for the integration of high power charging into the low voltage grid. For this purpose, an urban distribution network is modelled in MatPower. High Power Charging infrastructure and a battery storage system are simulated using time series and dynamic models. Load flow calculations are used to identify the potentials and grid effects of high power charging in the low-voltage grid. Subsequently, a battery storage system is di-mensioned to provide energy to the high power charging infrastructure. The simulation re-sults show that high power charging can in principle be integrated into the low-voltage grid, but that a battery storage system should be installed at locations remote from the trans-former. Furthermore, its suitability for balancing decentralised generation is examined. The balancing potential for decentralised generation varies with the applications of high power charging and the time of year. Photovoltaics can in turn effectively support HPC demand response.
